Why Irina Shayk Won’t Comment on Tom Brady Romance Reports: My Personal Life ‘Belongs to Me’

Irina Shayk will happily speak about her career, but no matter how many stories the tabloids run on it, the model isn’t about to set the record straight on her love life. In her ELLE cover story, Shayk explains why she has not and will not comment on even false stories regarding who she is dating.

She simply isn’t trying to encourage the attention. That said, she does have opinions about the tabloids’ coverage of her love life. “Nobody wants to write something that is truthful,” she said. “Sometimes I want to be like, ‘Fuck you. It’s absolutely not true.’…Half of the people who they say I’m dating, I’ve never even met them in my life! These people who are literally evil or have nothing to do, sitting there and writing some bullshit and getting away with it. They should go to prison for that.” She then moderated that stance, saying: “There should be some kind of punishment.”

When asked about whether or not past reports about her and Bradley Cooper reconciling were true or her dating Tom Brady, Shayk smiled and stuck to her stance, saying, “No comment.”

“I share my work stuff because I decided to keep my personal life personal,” Shayk explained. “That’s why it’s called personal, because it’s something that belongs to me. If one day I feel like I want to share it, I will.”

Shayk currently isn’t linked to anyone. People reported that Shayk and Brady ended their romance in late October, after ELLE’s interview with Shayk was conducted. A source told the magazine that it “kind of just fizzled.” Cooper, meanwhile, has been romantically linked to Gigi Hadid since early October.
