Dua Lipa Goes Red Carpet Official With Boyfriend Romain Gavras While Wearing Stunning Backless Gown

On Friday, Dua Lipa walked the red carpet of the Cannes Film Festival with boyfriend Romain Gavras, making their relationship a much more public affair than ever before. For their official debut, the pop star wore a silky black Celine gown, which featured a floor length skirt that brushed the ground with a thigh high slit. The bodice was designed with asymmetrical straps, cut outs, and a backless cut.

The couple put in their appearance at a screening of Omar La Fraise (The King Of Algiers). Dua Lipa and Gavras were first linked in February, a little over a year after Dua’s break up with longtime boyfriend Anwar Hadid. Hadid is the brother of Dua Lipa’s close friends, Gigi and Bella Hadid. In March, a source told The Sun that she and Gavras had been “quietly getting to know each other for months.”

“Dua and Romain have been quietly getting to know each other for several months,” said the insider. “They have been enjoying spending time together. The pair met each other’s close circles over the festive period and have lots in common.”

Gavras is known for his work on music videos, like M.I.A.’s famous “Bad Girls.”

The source added, “Dua knows how important it is to find someone who understands her industry. She feels Romain totally gets it. They’re both really creative people.”

Since her break up, the singer has been briefly linked to Trevor Noah and rapper Jack Harlow, but Gavras appears to be her first serious connection.
