Meghan Markle’s Five Invictus Games Outfits Are a Lesson in Early Fall, High-Low Dressing

Meghan Markle’s appearance at Düsseldorf, Germany’s Invictus Games marks her longest public engagement of the year—and offers the most extensive look at her current style. The Duchess of Sussex has already worn five outfits over three days, all in neutral tones, from a mixture of high-low brands.

Today, Meghan wore two looks in black, white, and brown.

She started with a monochrome brown ensemble, her most formal yet. To meet with NATO officials, Meghan wore a L’Agence blouse with Gabriela Hearst trousers, Miu Miu sunglasses, and Manolo Blahnik heels.

She then switched into an all-white ensemble, pairing a Ralph Lauren sweater vest with white Frame jeans. She wore the look to take in the volleyball competition.

Meghan has stuck to these colors throughout her trip. On September 12, she began her Invictus Game appearances in a black Banana Republic dress (still available in white for $70):

On September 13, she wore two outfits in a black and white color scheme. She first wore a white J.Crew sweater with Staud shorts, Chanel flats, and a Givenchy belt:

Ahead of her arrival at the games, Meghan was photographed at the Los Angeles airport in another neutral, quiet luxury look.

The duchess spoke a little about how her and Harry’s children, Lili and Archie, delayed her arrival when she first got to the games.

“It is so special to be here, and I’m so sorry that I was a little late for the party,” Meghan started, per Hello!. “Just like so many of you, we know this is about family and friends and the community that Invictus has created, that Fischer House has created, and so I had to just spend a little bit more time getting our little ones settled home.” That included “getting milkshakes, doing school drop off and then I just landed a couple of hours ago. I am thrilled that the first event that I can do with Invictus is here with all of you.”
