Taylor Swift Rang in Her Birthday Early With Selena Gomez in Matching Black Looks

Longtime friends Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift reunited last night ahead of Swift’s 34th birthday to grab dinner in New York City. The two stars were photographed together, both in black looks. Swift wore a tan trench coat with a black top and accessories, including Stella McCartney boots, a Versace bag, and Louis Vuitton earrings. Gomez, for her part, paired a black coat with black Louis Vuitton boots and a bag. Miles Teller and his wife Keleigh Sperry rounded out the group. At one point, they were photographed arriving at members-only club Zero Bond.

Swift returned to New York City yesterday, with some outlets reporting that she would be attending Time’s Person of the Year ceremony that evening. But no photos have been released of her at the magazine’s A Year In Time event at the Plaza Hotel.

Swift’s birthday plans today are unclear. Multiple sources claimed to Us Weekly that Swift’s boyfriend Travis Kelce was planning her a birthday party in New York City where “money is not an object.” Kelce, however, remained in Kansas City, Missouri, after Swift left for New York. He is currently in the middle of his NFL season.

Swift has been living her life more publicly in the last six months than she has in the last six years, being seen out regularly, especially in New York. She discussed this shift in her Time interview released last week.

“Over the years, I’ve learned I don’t have the time or bandwidth to get pressed about things that don’t matter,” Swift said. “Yes, if I go out to dinner, there’s going to be a whole chaotic situation outside the restaurant. But I still want to go to dinner with my friends. Life is short. Have adventures. Me locking myself away in my house for a lot of years—I’ll never get that time back. I’m more trusting now than I was six years ago.”
