Meghan Markle Steps Out in Skinny Jeans and Striped Sweater in Rare Casual Look
Meghan Markle has been able to stay largely out of the paparazzi’s lens in California. Yesterday, however, was an exception. The Duchess of Sussex was snapped out near her Montecito home on Friday, wearing a loose white striped La Ligne sweater over a black top with black skinny jeans and ballet flats. Her hair was styled down and straight on a center part. Meghan carried a Fendi bag with her. You can see photos of her out here on Daily Mail. It is a remarkably rare look at her casual style.
The outfit is similar to her black skinny jeans look during her and Prince Harry’s 2018 Australia visit, just with this white striped sweater below worn instead of the blazer:
The sighting comes the same day that Meghan and Prince Harry’s audio division of Archewell and Spotify announced the end of their deal together. “Spotify and Archewell Audio have mutually agreed to part ways and are proud of the series we made together,” the companies said in a brief statement, via Variety. Meghan released one series with Spotify, Archetypes. The couple signed a $20 million deal with Spotify back in late 2020.
A source told Variety that Meghan and Harry wanted to find a new home for their projects rather than have them be Spotify-distributed exclusives. A second source said that on Spotify’s end, the streamer “expected more content from Archewell Audio [and noted] that nearly three years after inking the pact, they [Meghan and Harry] have delivered only one series, essentially putting the overall deal in limbo,” Variety wrote.
Neither party has given a further comment beyond their initial statement announcing the end of their deal. Meghan’s outing yesterday also comes the day before King Charles’ first Trooping the Colour as king. People reported this week that Meghan and Harry weren’t invited to event that took place this Saturday.
