Rihanna Was Beyond Pretty in Pink in a Bralette and Jeans

Rihanna is in the third trimester of her pregnancy and remains the street style icon she has always been. The singer was photographed in a pretty pink look on Tuesday, pairing a Bottega Veneta bralette with pale pink Vetements jeans, a R13 bomber jacket, and Amina Muaddi pumps. She wore her hair down in curls and proudly showed off her figure. Rihanna was attending a birthday party for her friend Melissa Forde at the Nice Guy in Los Angeles.

Rihanna spoke to Vogue in its new cover story on her this week about her masterful approach to maternity style and how she sought to redefine it. “When I found out I was pregnant, I thought to myself, There’s no way I’m going to go shopping in no maternity aisle. I’m sorry—it’s too much fun to get dressed up,” she recalled. “I’m not going to let that part disappear because my body is changing.”

“I’m hoping that we were able to redefine what’s considered ‘decent’ for pregnant women,” she continued. “My body is doing incredible things right now, and I’m not going to be ashamed of that. This time should feel celebratory. Because why should you be hiding your pregnancy?”

She admitted that there’s hard work happening behind the scenes with all her maternity outfits—and they’re sometimes more challenging for her stylist Jahleel Weaver than her non-maternity looks because of her changing body. “I know he loses sleep over it because my measurements can literally change from hour to hour,” she said. “In fact I’m sure he’s going to ask for a raise after this!”
