THE RUNDOWN

  • Kate Middleton continued her tour of Italy on May 14, visiting children’s and agricultural centers as part of her solo tour of the country.
  • She wore a Blazé Milano pinstripe blazer and a Jenni Kayne skirt during the day.
  • She wore a bold blue pantsuit by Edeline Lee the day prior.

Kate Middleton’s solo tour of Italy continues. After making a bold statement with a bright blue pantsuit by Canadian-British designer Edeline Lee on the first day of her tour, the Princess of Wales chose a breezy look in a more neutral color palette for her second day of engagements.

For Kate’s visits to the farm stay Agriturismo Al Vigneto, nursery school Salvador Allende Scuola dell’infanzia, and Reggio Emilia’s creative resource center REMIDA on May 14, the princess wore a Blazé Milano taupe blazer with white pinstripes, an ivory pleated midi skirt by Jenni Kayne, and a scoop-neck top in cream.

She accessorized with Kiki McDonough green amethyst and diamond earrings, a matching pendant necklace, a brown suede Blazé Milano belt, and Camilla Elphick sling-back taupe and black heels.

This is Kate’s first overseas trip since going into remission for cancer in 2025, and it is “part of a high-level fact-finding mission to explore leading international approaches to supporting young children and those who care for them,” the Palace said in a statement. Kate’s trip to Reggio Emilia is “a powerful starting point” to take her mission of improving children’s education and care worldwide.

It additionally is a major personal milestone for Kate. “[This visit] is an important step in the princess’s recovery journey. She takes great joy from this work,” a royal aide told People on May 12, ahead of her arrival. “I think it is only right that her first international trip since her illness is one that is focused on an issue that is committed to championing for decades to come and is a real issue that she wants to shine a spotlight on.”

The aide added, “This is a huge moment for the princess.”
