Miley Cyrus has released the music video for her Golden Globe-nominated song, “Dream As One,” which is part of the Avatar: Fire and Ash soundtrack. The visual features Cyrus singing against the backdrop of flames, embers, and smoke, spliced with clips of the film.

The track, co-written by Cyrus, is a love song that also reflects the film’s elemental themes of fire and ash. The chorus goes: “Even through the flames / Even through the ashes in the sky / Baby, when we dream, we dream as one.”

On November 14, Cyrus announced the release of “Dream as One” on Instagram, writing, “Writing this song with Mark Ronson and Andrew Wyatt came straight from the heart. Every lyric remembers where we’ve been, reflects where we are, and holds hope for what’s ahead for all of us. It was an honor to create something so personal for a film that connects so deeply with people around the world.”

A few weeks earlier, Cyrus posted a short snippet of the song and shared more about its personal meaning: “Honored to support Avatar: Fire and Ash with an original song I’ve written with Mark Ronson and Andrew Wyatt. Having been personally affected by fire and being rebuilt from the ashes, this project holds profound meaning for me.”

She continued, “Thank you, Jim, for the opportunity to turn that experience into musical medicine. The film’s themes of unity, healing, and love resonate deeply within my soul, and to be even a small star in the universe the Avatar family has created is truly a dream come true.”

Last month, Cyrus celebrated the song’s Golden Globes nod as it was nominated for Best Original Song – Motion Picture. “It’s been one beautiful moment after the next lately… so much to celebrate, including our Golden Globe nomination for Dream As One from Avatar: Fire And Ash,” she wrote on TikTok. “It’s been a fantasy come to life being a part of the Avatar adventure.”

She added, “Feeling grateful for the fire of fate that rebuilt what I wanted in deeper alignment with the needs of my soul. This song has become a symbol of transformation, power, and the entering of a new era for anyone who’s ever risen from their own ashes. When we dream as one, we create a new reality. I love you.”

Avatar: Fire and Ash, directed by James Cameron and starring Sam Worthington and Zoe Saldaña, was released in theaters on Dec. 19, 2025.
