Builsa South Mp Clement Apaak Supports 248 Needy Tertiary Students With Gh¢331,000

Dr. Clement Abas Apaak, Member of Parliament for Builsa South and Deputy Minister for Education, has released GH¢331,000 from his MP’s Common Fund to support 248 brilliant but needy tertiary students across the constituency.
The beneficiaries comprise 161 females and 87 males studying in universities, technical universities, colleges of education, and nursing and midwifery training institutions nationwide.
Under the support scheme, 166 students in universities, technical universities and other tertiary institutions will each receive GH¢1,500, while 82 students in colleges of education and nursing and midwifery training institutions will receive GH¢1,000.
In a letter to the Builsa South District Chief Executive, Dr. Apaak directed the timely disbursement of the funds, describing the initiative as a strategic investment in the constituency’s human capital. He stressed that financial hardship should never be a barrier to higher education for academically gifted but needy students.
Dr. Apaak noted that the intervention aligns with his broader efforts to expand access to tertiary education, strengthen human resource development, and empower the youth through learning.
Beneficiaries are expected to use the support to cover tuition fees, accommodation, learning materials, and other essential academic expenses.
