The Real Reason Sydney Sweeney and Jonathan Davino Are Spending Time Together After Their Breakup
Sydney Sweeney and her ex-fiancé, Jonathan Davino, quietly separated in January but were photographed together in Los Angeles on Sunday. Don’t let the reunion fool you though, sources told People and Us Weekly. Sweeney and Davino are not discussing reconciling. They just have some literal unfinished business.
A source close to Sweeney explained to People, “This wasn’t just a relationship. This was two people living together and planning a future. They still have things to figure out. Sydney’s mind is very much on work though. She’s doing well.”
Part of what they’re figuring out is their shared property. A source told Us Weekly that in May 2023, they bought a “Bel Air fixer house together [for $6.2 million] and have remained friends because they are working on the renovation together.”
It is a “huge restoration project [that Sweeney is] extremely passionate about,” the insider added. “This home was supposed to be their family home together. [It] will not be done for at least another year from now if it all goes to plan. They have talked about selling the home once it is done down the line and are hoping to make a profit but haven’t made a decision yet.”
Sweeney has another property in L.A. along with a home in Florida. She and Davino have “remained cordial” since the split. “[He] understood her reasoning for calling off the wedding and them going their separate ways,” the Us Weekly source said.
A source revealed why Sweeney called off their wedding to People last month. The 27-year-old star, who has a thriving acting career, wasn’t “ready to settle down. They only lasted for this long because it was hard for her to break it off. They didn’t split because there is no love. They split because she just wants to focus on her career right now.”
