Hailey Bieber Subtly Shows Support for Selena Gomez and the Emilia Pérez Cast After Golden Globe Wins

Hailey Bieber was happy to see Selena Gomez and the Emilia Pérez cast take home the Golden Globe for Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy and their three other honors. The model quietly liked an Instagram posted by Saint Laurent’s Anthony Vaccarello about the film’s success at last night’s Globes. Bella Hadid also liked the post.

“Today I feel so proud and happy for having produced the best film of the year with Saint Laurent Production,” he wrote. “Congratulation to everyone involved in Emilia Perez ???? ???????????? 4 Golden Globes !”

Emilia Pérez’s Zoe Saldaña won Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role in Any Motion Picture. Emilia Pérez was also awarded Best Motion Picture – Non-English language and Best Original Song – Motion Picture for “El Mal,” which was written by Clément Ducol and Camille.

This is not Bieber’s first time liking an Instagram about Gomez. Just last month, she showed her support after Gomez announced her engagement to Benny Blanco by liking the Instagram Gomez herself posted.

In June 2023, she spoke candidly about people pitting her and Gomez against each other or other women. “I don’t think that this is about me, Hailey Bieber, and Selena Gomez—this is not about this pitting between two women and division between two women,” she told The Circuit With Emily Chang. “It’s about the vile, disgusting hatred that can come from completely made-up and twisted and perpetuated narratives. That can be really dangerous.”

She added that generally, “I don’t like this whole idea of Team This Person and Team This Person. I’m just not about that. I want to be able to bring people together.”
