Selena Gomez Looks Sophisticated in White Three-Piece Suit at Palm Springs International Film Festival

On Friday, Selena Gomez walked the red carpet for the 36th Annual Palm Springs International Film Festival Film Awards, where she and the cast of Jacques Audiard’s film Emilia Pérez received the festival’s Vanguard Award. The star wore a three-piece suit all in white, with a tailored coat and wide-legged pants. The white tie was in contrast to her mesh top with a white collar, creating a cut out effect over her chest.

In an interview with W Magazine this week, Gomez shared what attracted her to the script.

“Pure curiosity,” she said. “I love working with incredible filmmakers—that’s usually what I’m drawn to the most. When I read the script, I thought it was extremely thought-provoking, visceral, and groundbreaking. But some films may not turn out that way. I really felt that Audiard is just so spectacular that the movie was in really good hands.”

She also shared a cute story about her first kiss, which ended up being on screen as a child star.

“My first kiss was on TV. I was 11 or 12 years old, and I guest-starred on The Suite Life of Zack & Cody, which starred Dylan and Cole Sprouse,” Gomez explained. “It was with Dylan, and it was really funny because both of us were so young. We were figuring out how to kiss. I had never done it, and I was so scared. My real-life one would probably be with a boy named Juan, and I was 14.”
