Kristen Stewart Wore a Backless Sheer Top on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert

If there’s one fashion trend that nearly all celebrities have partaken in, it’s adding some sheer elements to their ensembles. Kristen Stewart is the latest star to don a see-through number.

On Monday, March 11, Stewart wore a black beaded halter top with an open back and sheer paneling, partially revealing her bare skin underneath. She paired it with a black maxi skirt with a back slit, strappy black peep-toe stilettos, and sheer black knee-high stockings.

Stewart was in New York City for an appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert to promote her new film, Love Lies Bleeding.

While speaking with Colbert, Stewart talked about her Rolling Stone cover shoot that sparked controversy on the internet. In the photo, she wore a jockstrap. Colbert admitted that he was advised against showing the image on TV.

He proceeded to show the photo, and then showed a tweet that a user posted about the photo shoot.

Rolling Stone turns Kristen Stewart into a MAN to push gender ideology on its readers,” the Tweet said.

“Why do you think people got upset about this?” Colbert asked her.

“It’s a little ironic because I feel like I’ve seen a lot of male pubic hair on the cover of things. I’ve seen a lot of hands in pants and, like, unbuttoned. I think there’s a certain overt acknowledgment of female sexuality that has its own volition that is annoying for people who are sexist and homophobic,” Stewart expressed.

“But fuck you,” she added, addressing those who criticized her.
