Every Shout-Out Taylor Swift Gave Travis Kelce at Her First Sydney Show, Including Her ‘That’s My Man’ Tribute

Taylor Swift very much called out Travis Kelce as her loving boyfriend who flew thousands of miles to see her perform in Sydney this week. The singer gave Kelce three shout-outs on stage during her first night performing in the Australian city. Meanwhile, Kelce was in the crowd, wearing a wrist full of friendship bracelets. He was also seen hyping up fans and exchanging said bracelets.

On stage, Swift didn’t make any speeches about Kelce. Instead, she found two non-verbal ways to give Kelce a bit of love. She pointed to him during the lyrics “that’s my man” during “Cardigan” and “when they gave us our trophies” in “Long Live.” Kelce just won the Super Bowl with the Kansas City Chiefs.

Swift drew even more attention for doing her famous “Karma” lyric change though, swapping out the original lyric—believed to be about her ex Joe Alwyn (“Karma is the guy on the screen,” as Alwyn is an actor)—to: “Karma is the guy on the Chiefs.”

The couple was filmed reuniting backstage after the show and sharing a real rom-com-like kiss.

Swift was honest in her December Time interview about why she has no qualms being so public with this relationship. “When you say a relationship is public, that means I’m going to see him do what he loves, we’re showing up for each other, other people are there, and we don’t care,” she said. “The opposite of that is you have to go to an extreme amount of effort to make sure no one knows that you’re seeing someone. And we’re just proud of each other.”

She also generally spoke about her desire to live her life out in the open. “Over the years, I’ve learned I don’t have the time or bandwidth to get pressed about things that don’t matter,” she said. “Yes, if I go out to dinner, there’s going to be a whole chaotic situation outside the restaurant. But I still want to go to dinner with my friends.”

“Life is short,” she continued. “Have adventures. Me locking myself away in my house for a lot of years—I’ll never get that time back. I’m more trusting now than I was six years ago.”
