How Taylor Swift Showed Support for Travis Kelce’s New Kansas City Chiefs Record From Afar
Taylor Swift wasn’t at Travis Kelce’s Kansas City Chiefs game on Sunday, nor did she fly back from her Eras tour stops in Brazil during her Thanksgiving break. Still, her boyfriend was on her mind yesterday after he set a Chiefs NFL record, and she let the public know.
For the second time since they started dating, Swift liked an Instagram about Kelce making history for the team. This time, she liked the post on the Chiefs’ official account, which said, “Fastest tight end to 11k receiving yards AND the only player in the franchise’s history to do it.” Page Six noted that only three other NFL tight ends in history have surpassed 11,000 receiving yards: Tony Gonzalez (15,127), Jason Witten (13,036), and Antonio Gates (11,841).

Swift is now on a break from her Eras tour until February 7, when she’ll resume her international leg in Tokyo. She played her last show in São Paulo yesterday.
Swift and Kelce are planning to spend Christmas and New Year’s Eve together, sources told multiple outlets. One insider told Us Weekly on November 22 that “Travis has already started Christmas shopping and has some really special surprises [for Taylor] in store. Their connection is off the charts, and they can’t wait to celebrate together.” That source added things are “getting very serious” and “Taylor sees long-term potential with Travis.”
A second source said, “They have very detailed plans coming up while she’s on tour and he has games. Taylor and Travis have the next few months completely laid out. They don’t want to start their relationship off with big gaps [in time spent apart]. They’re trying to be as much like a regular couple as possible.”
That source added that while they will spend time with each other’s families, they are also planning a romantic getaway for just the two of them: “They love [getting together] with their families and friends, but right now, what they value above all else is alone time.”
Dating someone so publicly is different for Swift, the source continued, as her last boyfriend Joe Alwyn, whom she dated for six years, avoided the spotlight. “With Taylor’s ex Joe, she was so private,” the source explained. “They’d never go outside and walk around together. They just stayed at her Nashville compound or her Rhode Island house. With Travis, she’s more free and able to share her full life and she loves it.”
A third source stressed how much things have escalated since their romance began in earnest this September: “They’re in love,” the insider claimed, alleging they recently started saying it to each other, too.
