Atlantis Paradise Island Commemorated 25 Years With a Brand-New Restaurant and CeeLo Green Performance

Entrepreneurs, singers, and actors gathered at Atlantis Paradise Island in The Bahamas this weekend for festivities honoring more than two decades of the iconic destination resort and its Royal Towers.

Following light bites and cocktails, The Royal 25th Anniversary Celebration kicked off on Friday with the grand opening of Paranza, led by Michelin-starred chef Michael White. “Paranza offers an opportunity for me to express my passion for the delicate intricacies of coastal Italian cuisine while exploring new flavors and tastes of the region,” White said before guests indulged in a fine dining experience. “Expanding into the Bahamas and becoming part of the culinary landscape of Atlantis Paradise Island is simply an opportunity of a lifetime.”

The restaurant’s dining room, designed by Jeffrey Beers International, served as an elegant backdrop for the intimate dinner—a delicious five-course meal featured crudo, handcrafted pastas, and swordfish. Marcia Gay Harden, Katie Couric, Tony Danza, and Cynthia Rowley were among those in attendance.

Other weekend events included a beach and pool day at The Cove’s exclusive cabanas, dinner at famed Japanese restaurant Nobu alongside DJ Kim Lee’s music selections, and a performance by five-time Grammy Award-winner CeeLo Green. The singer’s setlist included hits like “All Night Long,” “Crazy,” and “Forget You.”

Throughout its anniversary year, Atlantis has been rolling out multi-million dollar renovations and new partnerships, including a reimagined casino, the Caribbean’s first Shake Shack, the debut of James Beard Award-winning chef Alon Shaya’s Mediterranean restaurant, Silan, and a renovation of The Royal towers.

“Our founder and developer Sol Kerzner is the genius behind this fabulous resort,” Atlantis CEO Audrey Oswell told the guests at the start of the weekend’s activities. “He and his son Butch came to Paradise Island and developed what we refer to as phase two and what you all know as Atlantis, which served as a catalyst for the resurgence of tourism throughout the country.”
