Kendall Jenner and Bad Bunny Seen Heading to ‘SNL’ After Party Together

After Bad Bunny’s Saturday Night Live hosting debut, he was seen heading to the afterparty at L’Avenue with girlfriend Kendall Jenner. The new couple were dressed in casual fall outfits, with Jenner in a suede bomber jacket and a black ensemble underneath. She paired the look with black loafers and left her hair down and straight.

Bad Bunny was in a similar look, wearing a brown knit sweater with black denim jeans and loafers, accessorizing with his usual baseball cap and sunglasses. They were joined at the venue by Lady Gaga and Mick Jagger, who each made cameos on the show that night. There was also a sketch featuring The Mandalorian star Pedro Pascal, who joined the crew at L’Avenue.

Bad Bunny was both the host and the musical guest for the episode. The Puerto Rican rapper referenced his commitment to making music in Spanish in his opening monologue, seemingly inspired by an incident at the Grammys this year. During that February performance, he did a medley off his album Un Verano Sin Ti. It was quickly noted that the closed captions read “singing in non-English” as opposed to the actual lyrics. The musical artist seemed to address the ensuing controversy during SNL.

“People are wondering I can’t host this show because English is not my first language,” he said. “I don’t know if they know but I do whatever I want. I can host this show in English. I can order McDonald’s in English. I can have sex in English. But I prefer sex in Spanish because it’s just better.”

In an interview with Vanity Fair, the rapper shared how the Grammys incident upset him, and made him more committed to Spanish as his musical language.

“It’s ugly to say that I saw it as normal. Then it was like, wow, wait a minute, what the hell? Why don’t they have someone? Knowing that I was going to be there,” he explained. “I sing for those who want to listen to me and those who understand me.”
