Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift Demonstrated Their Casual Fall Style at Dinner in Los Angeles

While some fans thought Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce were having dinner in Connecticut last night, the singer was actually across the country, dining with Selena Gomez, Zoë Kravitz, and Keleigh Teller in Los Angeles. Paparazzi captured the group at Sushi Park; Swift wore a sheer lace top with jeans. Gomez, meanwhile, donned a black top, coat, and jeans. At one point, Swift put her arm around Gomez in a sweet show of their longtime friendship.

Swift and Gomez have been friends since 2008. Their last big public appearance was at the MTV VMAs in September, where they were photographed hugging at the ceremony and catching up.

In January 2020, Gomez spoke to WSJ magazine about how she immediately knew that there was something special between her and Swift. They had both been dating Jonas Brothers when they first met, Swift with Joe and Gomez with Nick. “We clicked instantly and, man, that was my girl,” Gomez recalled, adding later, “We both went through shit at the same time. She taught me a lot about how I should be treated at a young age.”

She noted that the world does not see just how deep their bond goes. “There’s so much of my friendship with Taylor that people don’t know about because we don’t necessarily feel the need to post about everything we do,” she said. “She has showed up for me in ways that I would have never expected. Flown in because I was hurt and was going through something. Stuff that was going on with my family. It’s been proven year after year and in every moment of my life that she is one of my best friends in the world. We don’t agree on everything, but we respect each other with everything.”
