Inside Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s Dynamic During Weekend Dates: They Were Kissing ‘Throughout’

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are done avoiding the spotlight—and seem fine with the world seeing their new romance in full PDA-filled bloom. The pair was photographed being affectionate while out on both Saturday and Sunday night in New York City. Sources gave extensive details about what the new couple was like at Saturday Night Live’s after-party, where they stayed until 4 A.M.

But last night, Swift and Kelce went to Waverly Inn for dinner. Paparazzi captured them holding hands. Swift wore a sheer corset top from Jean Paul Gaultier with a leather miniskirt and Louis Vuitton boots.

Their outing followed a surprise appearances on SNL and attendance at its after-party on Saturday and early Sunday morning. Sources spoke to People, Entertainment Tonight, and Page Six about how much they were kissing at the party and what Kelce and Swift were like as a couple.

“Taylor and Travis seemed to really be having a great night and looked happy to be with each other,” an eyewitness told Entertainment Tonight. “They kissed throughout the evening.”

A second source called them the “real deal,” and said they were seemingly not shy at all about showing affection. “They were holding hands throughout the night, whispering into each other’s ear, and they even exchanged some kisses,” the source said, clarifying they were not explicitly making out, but had more sweet moments, like “he’d kiss her on her head.” Kelce was protective of Swift, the source added: “At one point, he actually told her security guard that he could step aside, like he’d take it from here.”

A source gave People a lot of detail about Swift and Kelce’s relationship dynamic.

“Taylor and Travis were there all night, and they were so smiley, they were so happy,” the source said. “They were so talkative. They were really fun. They talked to every single person in the room that talked to them.”

“They were super cool. Super nice, super happy,” the source added, saying that the couple stayed at the SNL after-party until after 4 A.M., something Page Six confirmed too.

They had a very sweet moment, People’s source recalled, saying that at one point, Kelce “takes both her hands and puts them on his shoulder, so they’re face to face, and then he takes both his hands and grabs her waist. They’re leaning in, they’re kissing each other.”

“They’re whispering. They’re talking, going back and forth about what to order, like, ‘Should we get a steak? Should we get espresso martinis?’” the source continued. “And then they lean in and they’re kissing again. They’re touching each other the whole time.”

The source added that while the two did mingle separately, Kelce would check in on Swift every once in a while. “[He was] going over and touching her, putting his hand on her lower back or putting his hands on her waist and then they would do a little kiss and then they would go back to talking to whoever they were talking to,” the source said. “He kept checking in with her, but gave her space to talk to other people in the room, both male and female, and he talked to a ton of people in the room too.”

“They were always connected throughout the night,” the source said generally. “They were super comfortable with each other. They were very cuddly; they weren’t awkward. She was really comfortable with him, and he was a total gentleman.”
