Megan Fox Is Reportedly Making Machine Gun Kelly ‘Work for’ Reconciliation Given Their ‘Unhealthy Dynamic’
Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly’s relationship status has been up in the air to the public since February, and last night, the duo gave mixed signals in New York City. They attended the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue party but posed separately, then were filmed showing PDA that same night.
People shared an update from a source today, who explained what’s really going on between the couple. It’s complicated.
“They are slowly working on reconciling but he’s totally in the dog house still,” the source said. “He’s doing whatever he can to get her back, and she’s making him work for it. It’s still an unhealthy dynamic though, and their friends just don’t see this lasting.” The source said their wedding planning is still “halted.”
Despite their issues, Kelly is determined to make their reconciliation happen, the source shared: “He has a lot of proving himself to do, and he doesn’t want to give her up. He is great with her kids and super hands on. It’s a work in progress.”
While Kelly and Fox posed separately on the red carpet of Sports Illustrated‘s Swimsuit Issue party, they were photographed together inside. Fox is a cover girl for the issue, making it a milestone night for her.
They were also “super affectionate,” out in New York City, sources told TMZ. The outlet obtained footage of them holding hands from a witness. Kelly even massaged Fox’s back at one point. TMZ wrote that the two couldn’t keep their hands off each other, and Kelly in particular was seen kissing Fox.
Fox wore a sultry look for their evening, opting for a remarkably low-cut LaQuan Smith dress with a sheer bodice. She accessorized with Le Vian jewelry.
The party marks one of the first recent sightings of Fox and Kelly together. Fox last made headlines for being seemingly absent from Kelly’s birthday party at the end of April, per People.
That absence came after she and Kelly were seen being affectionate on a Hawaiian vacation the first week of April. A source told Entertainment Tonight at the time that “Megan and Machine Gun Kelly have been making an effort to work out their issues as a couple and things have been getting better. Machine Gun Kelly has been going out of his way to make sure Megan feels happy, loved, and secure with him.”
“They enjoy being together and love one another, so they are trying to get to a good and solid place,” the source continued. “They both have so much fun together and feel comfortable with one another, and that hasn’t changed.”
Fox initially sparked speculation that she and then-fiancé Kelly broke up privately during Super Bowl weekend. She suddenly deleted all her Instagrams with Kelly. Since then, reports have come out about how the formerly engaged’s pair reconciliation efforts were going.
On March 22, a source told Us Weekly that the pair’s dynamic is a little volatile. “Megan and MGK are currently on a break but are still in contact,” the source said. “They are very hot and cold. [They] have stalled wedding planning to work on their issues. Their relationship is pretty volatile at the moment. They are currently off, but still texting each other.”
