Shakira Reportedly ‘Has No Interest’ in Dating Tom Cruise and Finds Reports He’s Courting Her ‘Hilarious’
Tom Cruise and Shakira spent some time together at Formula 1’s Miami Grand Prix over the weekend, but Shakira isn’t about to date Cruise. Shortly after Page Six reported that Cruise had romantic interest in Shakira, a source told Us Weekly that the feelings are not mutual for the single singer.
“Shakira had a great time hanging out with Tom at F1 but she has no interest in dating him,” the source said. “He was really nice, and she enjoyed his company, but she isn’t focused on dating him or anybody else at the moment. She has a lot on her plate and is focused on her kids [Sasha, 8, and Milan, 10] and career for now.”

The source added that Shakira did see that report about Cruise wanting to date her, and it gave her a laugh. “Shakira has seen the online rumors that Tom has been courting her—and how fans are chiming in with their opinions—but she thinks it’s hilarious because it’s just not true,” the source said. “She had a fun time when they chatted, but that’s as far as things have gone.”
The Us Weekly report comes after Page Six‘s source claimed that after spending time with Shakira, Cruise “is extremely interested in pursuing her. There is chemistry.”
“Shakira needs a soft pillow to fall on, and that could be Tom,” the source added, referencing Shakira’s split from longterm partner Gerard Piqué last June. Acting like a wingman, the source described the actor as “a nice-looking guy, and he is talented.” The source also alleged Cruise was so impressed with Shakira that he sent her flowers.
