Khloé Kardashian Discussed Her Relationship Status and Baby Boy’s Name Amid Reports Tristan Wants Her Back
Khloé Kardashian and Tristan Thompson were photographed grabbing McDonald’s together this week, but Kardashian herself denied speculation that their on-off relationship may be on again. Thompson and Kardashian share two children together, 5-year-old daughter True, and a son they welcomed via surrogate last summer.
Kardashian spoke about her baby boy, where she stands on publicly sharing his name, and her dating life during an interview on The Jennifer Hudson Show. The interview came out around the same time Us Weekly published a new report today claiming Thompson is still trying to win her back romantically despite Kardashian being closed off to that right now. Thompson and Kardashian last broke up after she learned he cheated on her while they were secretly engaged and fathered a child with personal trainer Maralee Nichols.
Dating-wise, Kardashian told Jennifer Hudson on her show that she was “single,” but not on dating apps. “I haven’t [downloaded them] yet,” she said. “I don’t want to say never because who knows where I’ll be next year, but as of now, I haven’t yet.”
As for her son’s name, she chose not to share it entirely, but gave the first letter away: “T,” to match True and Tristan Thompson.
She also revealed that it took a little time to choose the moniker. “He’s named, but I haven’t announced it yet,” she started. “At first, I really did not know what I was going to name him. I wanted to meet him, feel him out a little bit. So at first he didn’t have a name.”
Something Kardashian is sure about, at least per Us’ source right now, is that she and Thompson don’t have a romantic future. A source said Kardashian “made it clear” that she doesn’t see a romantic future with Thompson, who “hasn’t completely given up hope” yet.
“He knows they’re always going to be in each other’s lives because of their children. But that doesn’t mean he hasn’t been trying,” the source said. “At this point, he feels like all he can do is be the best father to their kids that he can and show Khloé over time that he’s there for their family. He is so happy he was able to find a home right around the corner from them because they’re his priority. He just wants to be there for his kids.”
The source added that this is partly why Thompson is happy to be Kardashian’s new neighbor. “Khloé and Tristan live .2 miles away from each other in Hidden Hills,” a source said. “Tristan is thrilled about having his own place so close to Khloé so he can visit her and the kids as often as possible.”
