Rihanna’s Boyfriend A$AP Rocky Was Her Biggest Supporter at the Super Bowl

Rihanna had one big fan in the audience during her Super Bowl halftime performance: Her boyfriend A$AP Rocky. He was filmed cheering her during her show.

Rihanna spoke during her Apple Music interview ahead of the show about how her son impacted her decision to do the halftime show. Rihanna welcomed her baby boy in May 2022.

“It feels like it could have only been now,” she started. “I mean, when I first got the call to do it again this year, I was like, ‘Psst, you sure?’ I’m three months postpartum, like, should I be making major decisions like this now? Like I might regret this. But when you become a mom, there’s something that just happens where you feel like you could take on the world, you could do anything. And the Super Bowl is one of the biggest stages in the world. So as scary as that was because I haven’t been on stage in seven years, there’s something exhilarating about the challenge of it all. And it’s important for me to do this this year. It’s important for representation, it’s important for my son to see that.”

Entertainment Tonight reported that both Rocky and her son would be there to support their leading lady ahead of the game. (Rihanna’s son was not filmed at the game.) A source told the outlet, “A$AP has been very supportive throughout her preparation and has really been stepping up his parenting game while she has been busy with rehearsals. [A$AP] and her son plan to be there supporting her during her big day.”
