Chrissy Teigen and John Legend Share Their New Baby Girl’s Name and First Photo

Chrissy Teigen and John Legend have given the world a first look at their rainbow baby and second baby girl. Both posted photos of their oldest daughter Luna, 6, and now middle child, four-year-old son Miles, with their new sister, Esti Maxine Stephens.

“She’s here! Esti Maxine Stephens – the house is bustling and our family could not be happier ????” Teigen sharead. “Daddy sheds nightly tears of joy seeing Luna and Miles so full of love, and I am learning you still need diapers with a c section!? We are in bliss. Thank you for all the love and well wishes – we feel it all! X .”

Legend shared similar sentiments and the same photo in his caption. “On Friday, we welcomed Esti Maxine Stephens to our family, and our house is overflowing with love and joy,” he wrote. “I’m in awe of Chrissy’s strength and resilience and I’m so thrilled to see how Luna and Miles embrace their baby sister. I’m so, so grateful, but that doesn’t seem like a big enough word…”

Esti joins the family a little over two years after Teigen and Legend lost their son Jack due to partial placenta abruption. In September 2020, Teigen had a life-saving abortion at 20 weeks, she explained in September 2022.

“Two years ago, when I was pregnant with Jack, John and my third child, I had to make a lot of difficult and heartbreaking decisions,” Teigen recalled, via The Hollywood Reporter. “It became very clear around halfway through that he would not survive, and that I wouldn’t either without any medical intervention.”

She admitted she didn’t initially see the procedure as an abortion, calling it a “miscarriage” publicly. But now, “let’s just call it what it was: It was an abortion,” she said. “An abortion to save my life for a baby that had absolutely no chance. And to be honest, I never, ever put that together until, actually, a few months ago.”

She further clarified what happened on Twitter. “I told you all we had a miscarriage because I thought that was what it was. But it was an abortion, and we were heartbroken and grateful all at once. It just took me over a year to realize it.”
