Lemon Foundation supports 70 brilliant but needy students in Elmina
The Lemon Foundation has extended educational support to brilliant but needy students in selected schools within the Komenda Edina Eguafo Abrem (KEEA) Municipality of the Central Region as part of efforts to remove financial barriers affecting their education.
Speaking to Modern Ghana News, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Lemon Foundation, Isaac Yirenkyi, popularly known as MC Kenya, said the initiative forms part of the foundation’s vision to ensure that brilliant but needy students receive the necessary support to pursue their education without financial difficulties.
According to him, the foundation seeks to provide peace of mind to beneficiaries and their parents by taking care of the educational needs of selected students. He explained that the foundation has provided learning materials to beneficiaries to cover their needs for the entire academic year, while also paying the necessary school-related fees for the year.
Mr. Yirenkyi further disclosed that the foundation has committed to supporting 70 brilliant but needy children throughout their educational journey up to the university level, covering the necessary educational expenses as they progress. He said the initiative is intended to give the beneficiaries the opportunity to concentrate on their studies and realise their full potential, regardless of their families’ financial circumstances.
The Headmistress of Bronyibima M/A School, Madam Edna Tamakloe, expressed appreciation to the Lemon Foundation for its continuous support towards students and the school. She commended the foundation for identifying the needs of brilliant but needy pupils and stepping in to provide the assistance required for them to remain focused on their education.
The Assembly Member for Bronyibima, Hon. John Charles Mensah, also expressed gratitude to the Lemon Foundation on behalf of parents and the community. He said the intervention would go a long way towards easing the financial burden on parents while encouraging the beneficiaries to take their education seriously.
Also in attendance were Mr and Mrs Amissah, representatives of the Lemon Group of Companies, who joined the foundation and other stakeholders to support the beneficiaries.
The Lemon Foundation said it remains committed to investing in education and supporting young people from less privileged backgrounds to achieve their academic aspirations.
