Olivia Wilde and Harry Styles Are ‘Still Friends’ After Break Up

After almost two years of dating, Olivia Wilde and Harry Styles decided to take a break, but a source told Page Six that there’s no “bad blood” between the former couple.

“There is no bad blood between them. Harry didn’t dump Olivia, or vice versa,” the source said. “This is the longest relationship Harry’s ever had, so clearly they have a special bond.”

The former couple have conflicting schedules and are often in different places, making it difficult to stay connected.

“They’re on a break. It’s impossible to have a relationship when he’s in every continent next year and Olivia has her job and her kids,” the source explained. “This is the right thing for both of them.”

Styles is embarking on his South American tour. Wilde was often at her former boyfriend’s concerts when he was within traveling distance, and was seen with her children Otis and Daisy at his concert in Los Angeles last Tuesday. But she is now reportedly headed to London to work on a documentary.

The insider said of Wilde’s concert attendance, “They’re friends, you’ll still see them together.”

A second source revealed, “Things have been challenging for them as a couple because of Harry’s tour, while Olivia needs to spend time with her kids in London, where they are with Jason [Sudeikis].”

This is similar to what a source told People when news of their break up was shared on Friday.

“He’s still touring and is now going abroad. She is focusing on her kids and her work in L.A.,” the source said. “It’s a very amicable decision.”

“They’re still very close friends,” the source added.

Styles and Wilde kept their relationship as private as possible, though drama popped up around the release of Wilde’s film Don’t Worry Darling, starring Styles, over an alleged feud with actress Florence Pugh. Wilde also mentioned some tension around ageist backlash she received for dating someone ten years younger in her interview for ELLE’s November issue.

“It’s so interesting for me when that comes from women because I’m like, ‘Do you plan on not getting older? Or if you already are older, do you feel that you don’t deserve the same opportunities in life?’” Wilde said. “It’s so sad to me to look at that and realize people have such small expectations for their own lives and they are projecting those expectations onto me. And I reject your projections.”
