Iguomo, Edenu, Ugbokhare, Ibore Communities Erupt Into Celebration Over Electricity Supply. – Nigerian Observer

ESAN CENTRAL – Four communities in Edo State comprising Edenu, Ugbokhare and Ibore communities in Esan Central Local Government Area as well as Igiome quarters at Iguomo community in Uhunmwode have been thrown into a great pump and celebration as the projects supplying them with electricity have been completed, energised and switched on.

This is sequel to the completion of the 1.2km electricity project at Igiome quarters, Iguomo community in Uhunmwode Local Government Area as well as the rehabilitation of the 8.8km 33KV over head line stretching from Ivue junction, Uromi in Esan North East Local Government Area to Edenu, Ugbokhare and Ibore communities in Esan Central Local Government Area.

With these electricity projects completed, the socio-economic fortunes of the benefitting communities have received a great boost.

This is in line with the policy thrust of the Godwin Obaseki-led administration to have a productive and wealthy citizenry in Edo State.

Leaders and other indigenes of the benefitting communities, in an ecstasy of joy, expressed profound gratitude to Governor Godwin Obaseki for his commitment to the distribution of social infrastructure across Edo State and making them have their own share of the dividends of democracy.

In his remarks, the General Manager of the Edo State Electrification Agency, Engr. Victor Ehis Okoduwa said, ” It is a thing of joy to see the two different projects completed. It is a manifestation of Governor Godwin Obaseki’s unflinching commitment to boost the socio-economic fortunes of Edo State people.”

“With this electricity-supply gesture, micro, small and medium scale enterprises will spring up to enhance productivity and create employment for able bodied youths and deplete the labour market,” Engr Victor Ehis Okoduwa said.

He explained that this electricity supply to the local communities would stem the rural-urban drift of the people.

While emphasising that Governor Godwin Obaseki has demonstrated through all the policies, programmes and projects across Edo State that he mean well for the people of Edo State. Engr Victor Okoduwa also thanked the governor for providing a purposeful and result-oriented leadership in the state.
