Sadie Sink Wore a Floral Miu Miu Dress to Talk Stranger Things Season 4 and Taylor Swift

Sadie Sink has been to hell, and she brought back with her a deeper appreciation for what are, arguably, hell’s team colors: red and more red. While hopping around New York City for the ongoing Stranger Things season 4 press tour, the actress—who plays Max Mayfield in the Netflix mega-hit series—showed up on the set of The Today Show wearing a printed dress and lipstick in tune with her fiery hair.

In a red and cream Miu Miu floral midi, Sink accessorized with point-toe slingback mules, brown sunnies, and an oversized white tote, a look styled by Molly Dickson. Makeup artist Tyron Machhausen completed the color story with a bright, girlish blush and pinkish red lipstick, framed by bouncy curls courtesy of hair stylist Tommy Buckett.

The 20-year-old’s Today Show appearance comes at a pivotal moment for her character in Stranger Things, though Sink avoided sharing any spoilers during her discussion with Hoda Kotb and guest co-host Justin Sylvester. After Kotb brought up that Sink’s co-star Winona Ryder compared Sink to a “young Meryl Streep,” she demurred: “That’s too big of a comparison to make, I think. But Winona, she’s incredible.”

The trio also discussed Sink’s recent work with Taylor Swift on the artist’s “All Too Well” music video, released in November 2021.

“[Swift] chose you to be in her video, that’s incredible,” Kotb told Sink.

“I didn’t think it was real at first,” Sink candidly replied. “I guess she was a fan of the show and then had me in mind for the ‘All Too Well’ video, and she reached out, and I was like, ‘Of course I’ll do it.’ She’s such a grounded, genuine person. So to have someone like that that I can look up to, it’s really important.”

When asked what her go-to Swift song was at the moment, Sink opted for “August.” But if she had to choose one song to escape Vecna, Sink wouldn’t opt for Kate Bush or her pal Swift. “Instant Crush by Daft Punk would be a good one for me,” she said. The woman has taste!!!
