In Dunham’s recently released memoir Famesick, she gave Swift a shout-out and shed rare light on their bond now. “TayTay—you sing the songs I wrote this book to, the stories that pulled these stories out of me, the music that makes the whole world feel seen,” she wrote, via People. “And yet somehow, miraculously, you also pick up every desperate call at every desperate hour.”

Dunham described Swift as “one of my best friends in the world,” in an interview with the outlet, adding, “She’s also my favorite music. My favorite musicians are my husband [Luis Felber] and Taylor Swift.”

Ratajkowski and Swift have a little less documented history, but Swift commented on an October 2022 TikTok of the model lip-syncing to her song “Karma.” The singer wrote, “Standing ovation for this.”

A year later, on a July 2023 episode of her High Low podcast, Ratajkowski spoke to guest Troye Sivan about becoming a Swiftie, saying that in the past, she didn’t listen to much pop music.

“And I was dating someone, actually, and they were talking about, just because something’s popular doesn’t mean that it isn’t excellent,” she recalled. “Actually, a lot of the times, the things that are popular are actually just incredibly good.”

She wound up thoroughly enjoying listening to Swift. “Taylor Swift is a great example for me,” she said. “I know you know her, and I’ve performed with her.”

“I was not a Swiftie and now I’m like, you know what that means?” she asked. “That means I was a misogynist that I didn’t fuck with Taylor Swift because I went to her concert and I was like, ‘This person is an incredible songwriter, an incredible performer,’ and anybody who says anything else, they have issues and actually maybe not a very sophisticated palette, which is a pretty crazy thing. I know a lot of people would like—their jaws would drop, but I do think that’s true. If you don’t like Taylor Swift, then you don’t understand things.”
