Selena Gomez did more than post a date night look (with a framed photo of her and Taylor Swift in the background) on Instagram yesterday. The Only Murders in the Building actress also shared a photo series featuring her wearing just a towel while lounging on her bed. She styled her bob in Old Hollywood curls and flashed her marquise diamond engagement ring and diamond wedding band in the shots. The first photo featured a playful companion: a sold-out pink JuJu keychain from Australian artist Cj Hendry.

Gomez hinted that the photo shoot was meant to tease her haircut, captioning the post, “short series ????‍♀️”

The star appears with and without bangs in the shots. Last year, she debuted blunt bangs, only to later reveal they were part of a wig. “I would [get bangs], but I’d regret it, then get it redone so I simply won’t,” she captioned her Instagram post, which featured a wavy lob hairstyle.

In early September, Gomez spoke to Allure about where she finds her beauty inspiration: on Pinterest. “I have all my folders of inspiration for the wedding, for cooking, for style,” she said, adding, “If I find [a makeup look] I like on Pinterest, I lean into that, and then I’ll get a suggestion from Hung [Vanngo, her longtime makeup artist] and combine it all. It’s a process.”

She also discussed how she is approaching this chapter of her 30s, saying, “I want to keep evolving and getting better in every area of my life. And I want to experience everything, so it’s important for me to keep myself in check. I’m so stoked that when an emotion pops up, I’m able to acknowledge it and be a part of it, then let it go.”
