Police, NYSC strengthen ties in Edo – Nigerian Observer

BENIN CITY – The Edo State Police Command and the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) have again strengthened existing relationship towards improved security of corps members and their property in Edo State.

This came to the fore when the Edo State Coordinator of NYSC Mrs Abiodun Olubukola visited the police command headquarters, GRA, Benin City, yesterday.

Speaking during the visit, the NYSC state coordinator thanked the police command for ensuring security of lives and property at the ongoing orientation camp in the state.

She also lauded efforts of men and officers of the command at providing the needed protection for corps members in Edo.

Mrs Abiodun however solicited for a more robust synergy between the state police command and NYSC.

Responding, the acting Commissioner of Police in Edo State DCP Miller Dantawaye assured the Edo State Coordinator of NYSC of police continued support at all times.

DCP Miller who is also incharge of operations at the command thanked the NYSC state coordinator for finding time to appreciate police efforts.

He informed her to feel free to call on the command when necessary as the command prioritizes the security of orientation camp, corps members and NYSC staff in Edo State.

The police command Public Relations Officer SP Kontongs Bello made this known in a press release made available to journalists via the command official WhatsApp, yesterday.
