As co-chairs of Dia Fall Night 2026, Carrie Mae Weems, Rosemarie Trockel, and Matthieu Blazy hosted an amazing roster of guests to celebrate the Dia Art Foundation’s initiatives. Sofia Coppola, Marion Cotillard, Julio Torres, and artists Chase Hall, Marina Abramović, Garrett Bradley, and Cecily Brown were among those who turned out for the Chanel-sponsored event, which honored artists Steve McQueen and Roni Horn. Both McQueen and Horn have created installations shown at Dia Beacon, Dia’s most well-known exhibition space. It also served as a goodbye to Dia director Jessica Morgan, who will leave the organization after over a decade to serve as director of the Tate.

The evening began at Dia’s Chelsea galleries, where the show “David Lamelas: The Machine” was on display. Guests then made their way north a few blocks for cocktails and dinner. During the meal, artist Matthew Barney introduced Horn, his longtime friend, and reflected on a memory of explaining her work to his young daughter. In tribute to McQueen, musician and poet Meshell Ndegeocello made her way around the room performing a hymn and a striking spoken-word piece. (She collaborated with McQueen on the sound component of his 2024 Dia Beacon work “Bass.”) She was accompanied by singers Jade Hicks and Marsha Deboe and guitarist Chris Bruce.

Chanel and Blazy’s partnership with Dia is part of the brand’s continued support of arts organizations, which includes working with museums like the National Portrait Gallery in London and the Centre Pompidou in Paris.
