Premier League live updates: Fernandes starts as Chelsea host Man United

Happy Halloween! It’s the final day of October, but there’s still plenty of exciting matches to look forward to as we kick off a packed weekend of action across Europe.

We get things started in the Premier League, where Chelsea host an inconsistent Manchester United side, with head coach Michael Carrick under mounting pressure to turn things around.

Later there are seven more games, highlighted by a clash between two in-form sides as Manchester City face Brighton & Hove Albion, just three days after their Carabao Cup encounter. We then round off the day with a London derby as Tottenham Hotspur take on Crystal Palace, before Aston Villa take on Fulham.

Elsewhere across Europe, Atlético Madrid face Levante in LaLiga, while the Bundesliga serves up a blockbuster Der Klassiker between league leaders Bayern Munich, led by newly crowned Ballon d’Or winner Harry Kane, and second-placed Borussia Dortmund.

Follow along for all the latest goals, updates and highlights from Saturday’s matches.
