Fresh off attending Travis Kelce’s first game of the season on Monday, Taylor Swift returned to Arrowhead Stadium this evening to cheer him and the Kansas City Chiefs on for week 2. The singer wore a Chiefs tank top from Wear by Erin Andrews and at one point, flashed her wedding band after Kelce scored a touchdown. She yelled, “That’s my husband!”
The Chiefs are playing the Indianapolis Colts before they have their first away game at Hard Rock Stadium next Sunday.
Swift was last seen in Kansas City, Missouri, on Friday. The singer wore a strapless black dress for a dinner date with Kelce at 1587 Prime, the steakhouse he co-owns with teammate Patrick Mahomes.
Next weekend, Swift will likely step back onto the red carpet herself for the MTV VMAs. The star has 11 nominations at the ceremony. She put fans on high alert for a new project announcement during Monday’s Emmys with her Easter egg-filled Law & Order sketch.
Last month, a source spoke to People about Swift’s new chapter as a newlywed. The insider said this has been a great time for her and Kelce’s careers, too. “They’re both always working, creating, or thinking about what comes next,” the source explained. “And they love living like this. They both feel really grateful for everything they have. They’re very happy.”
The insider said that Swift and Kelce are “both just so excited that they’re husband and wife now. Their relationship feels even more special.”
Swift hasn’t spoken about her wedding to Kelce yet, but Tom Cruise revealed one way her husband changed her during his appearance on The Tonight Show.
Cruise and Swift attended Kelce’s game on Monday. “She was schooling me on football. For real,” he told host Jimmy Fallon, noting she didn’t know much about the sport before meeting Kelce. “First of all, she’s a genius. I’ve been following her since she was a kid. Everybody there, all their friends—they’re a beautiful couple and magical in their own right.”
