Arsenal-Barca in UWCL draw, Chelsea get Lyonnes
Arsenal will face both of last year’s finalists — Barcelona and OL Lyonnes — in the league phase of this year’s Women’s Champions League, while Chelsea have a slightly easier start to their competition.
The draw for the six-game league phase was made on Friday, with several potential finals taking place early on in the competition — which is all live on Disney+ in Europe.
Arsenal were handed a tough draw, and will have to face both Barcelona — who they beat in the 2024-25 final — and last year’s beaten finalists Lyonnes. Benfica and Inter Milan were also drawn to face Renée Slegers’ side.
Chelsea’s toughest tests come in the shape of two French sides, Lyonnes and Paris Saint-Germain, meanwhile.
The league phase starts on Sept. 22-23 and ends on Dec. 16.
