Nashville’s Urban Cowboy Bar Is More Than a Place to Drink

While many may come to Nashville, Tennessee, for a classic honky-tonk, downtown’s Urban Cowboy Bar offers a different experience. With a classic cowboy feel, the multifloor establishment boasts a speakeasy, cocktail bar, and saloon. There’s a beverage for every drinker and a seat for every patron who’s craving a little (or a lot) of yee-haw.

Urban Cowboy Bar also happens to serve as the location of ELLE’s latest episode of Three Generations of Country, featuring the legendary Reba McEntire, country music powerhouse Miranda Lambert, and rising star Ella Langley. On the bar’s second floor, the three met for an intimate discussion surrounding music, sisterhood, and the state of country music. It’s a location fit for country music’s biggest names.

“I am so proud of the females of our genre of country music,” McEntire says in the video. “We’re so we’re so blessed to get to do it. I can tell—we’re all three very, very grateful to get to do what we get.”

An added bonus of the downtown location is Frankies Pizzeria, an off-shoot of the popular Frankies Spuntino, where guests can enjoy classic and Sicilian pies and other comfort-food staples like eggplant marinara, meatballs, and Caesar salad.

The bar is just one of Urban Cowboy’s locations. It also has a hotel and bar in East Nashville, a lodge and resort in New York’s Catskills, and a hotel and bar in Denver. The spaces each come equipped with a Western edge, allowing every visitor to truly bring their cowboy out. All locations host private events and take bookings.
