Olivia Rodrigo Readies for Kickoff With FC Barcelona Jersey Takeover

Olivia Rodrigo is showing where her allegiances lie ahead of the May 10 El Clásico match between FC Barcelona and Real Madrid.

For the sporting event at Spotify Camp Nou, FC Barcelona players will swap the music platform’s logo for Rodrigo’s—making her the youngest artist to be featured in the collaboration’s history. She joins an elite lineup of musicians with past jersey takeovers, including The Rolling Stones, Drake, Coldplay, Karol G, Rosalía, Ed Sheeran, and Travis Scott.

FC Barcelona Femení, the club’s women’s team, will debut Rodrigo’s jersey during their Liga F match against Levante on May 6.

Rodrigo and Spotify are also extending the collaboration beyond the pitch. 1,899 limited-edition jerseys—a number inspired by the club’s founding year—will be released. They will be available via Barça Official Stores in Spain and online. The drop comes alongside a capsule collection including a T-shirt, fleece crew, hoodie, bucket hat, scarf, tote, travel mug, and sticker pack.

On May 8, Rodrigo is set to host an intimate, invite-only concert in Barcelona with guests chosen based on their Spotify listening habits. Who knows, she might even play a few songs from her upcoming album, you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love.

“Getting to perform for the fans who’ve been listening since day one, in a city like Barcelona, is going to be so special,” Rodrigo said in a statement. “That’s everything to me. I cannot wait to see them.”

“Seeing OR on a FC Barcelona jersey for El Clásico, I don’t even know how to process that,” the singer continued. “It’s been so fun seeing the jersey come to life and creating a full collection with Spotify and Barça.”
