Justin Bieber Serenades an Ecstatic Billie Eilish at Coachella
THE RUNDOWN
- Justin Bieber performed his second headlining set at Coachella.
- While singing his 2009 hit “One Less Lonely Girl,” he invited Billie Eilish on stage.
- The “Birds of a Feather” singer was completely thrilled to be sung to by Bieber.
On Saturday night, Justin Bieber performed for his second weekend at Coachella in Indio, California, welcoming a number of special guests onstage. But one of the most excited guests was pop star Billie Eilish. Eilish didn’t perform with Bieber. Instead, she got to play the part of a superfan.
Eilish has been very open about her love of Bieber’s music for years. The “Baby” singer traditionally serenades a fan from the audience while performing his 2009 hit “One Less Lonely Girl.” Eilish was encouraged to go up on the stage to take on the role, falling down on her knees repeatedly in excitement.
Bieber encouraged her to get up, hugging her from behind as he continued to sing. As he finished, he told her, “Only you, shawty.”
They hugged before Eilish headed back into the crowd. Eilish has met Bieber before and they even worked together on the remix to her song “Bad Guy.” But this was clearly a very different experience for the 24-year-old singer.
During his set, Bieber also welcomed rappers Big Sean and Sexyy Red, as well as SZA. During his first performance at Coachella on April 11, he performed songs from his latest albums SWAG and SWAG II. That night, he brought up The Kid LAROI, Dijon, Tems, WizKid, and Mk.gee. The show was attended last week by Kylie Jenner, Timothée Chalamet, Jacob Elordi, and Hailey Bieber, who was back in the audience this week. The Rhode founder supposedly pushed Eilish onto the stage for her big moment, encouraging her to join her hero on stage.
