  • Following Leonardo DiCaprio’s Oscars date with Vittoria Ceretti, a source spoke to People about how their relationship has shifted.
  • While the insider noted that they aren’t “ready to get married,” things between them “feel different and more serious.”
  • The couple will celebrate their three-year anniversary later this year.

Leonardo DiCaprio took girlfriend Vittoria Ceretti to the Oscars as his date, marking the first time the actor has taken a partner to the ceremony in years. Privately, there’s been a shift happening too, a source told People, as the couple nears their three-year anniversary later this year.

“This relationship with Vittoria does feel different and more serious,” the source detailed. “He genuinely cares for her. They may not be ready to get married, but for the first time Leo is open to a serious future.”

The insider noted how content DiCaprio is with their dynamic, saying, “Vittoria also has her own life and she’s very independent, which is appealing to him, especially when he’s away for filming and has long days on set. [He] is much more openly affectionate with Vittoria than his friends have ever seen him be with any other girlfriends.”

The actor and model were first linked in 2023. During their time together, sources have shut down engagement rumors multiple times, first to TMZ in March 2024 and then to E! in November 2025.

DiCaprio has purposely kept his personal life largely private during his decades in the spotlight. In December, the actor detailed his strategy to Time, saying, “I think my simple philosophy is only get out there and do something when you have something to say, or you have something to show for it. Otherwise, just disappear as much as you possibly can.”

Years ago when Titanic introduced DiCaprio to overwhelming fame, he recalled asking himself, “‘OK, how do I have a long career?’ Because I love what I do, and I feel like the best way to have a long career is to get out of people’s face.”
