This Sweet-Smelling Serum Made Me a Clean Skincare Convert

I would hardly call myself a skincare obsessive, but I like clean skin as much as the next person. So as I trudged onward into my thirties, I began to wonder why I don’t prioritize using clean beauty products. Chalk it up to equal parts laziness and intimidation, but thanks to a combination of office chatter, targeted marketing, and an untimely flare-up that could be credited to a certain hotel-provided sunscreen, I was rather serendipitously introduced to Glow Recipe’s Strawberry Smooth BHA + AHA Salicylic Acid Serum. And (spoiler alert) I’m officially influenced.

First things first: This product is approachable. I mean, just look at it! The petite-sized bottle is an eye-catching pinkish red, not to mention 100 percent recyclable; open the cap and you’ll literally smell fresh-picked strawberries. Unlike other technical and boring, for lack of a better word, serums that come with a laundry list of science-backed facts, Glow Recipe’s clarifying formula is simple. It’s lightweight with a pillowy gel texture that glides on smoothly, while simultaneously clearing breakouts, refining pores, and calming and hydrating skin (thanks to a one-two punch of potent encapsulated salicylic acid and hyaluronic acid). Did I mention the insanely addicting aroma? This serum basically doubles as a perfume.

What really swayed me, though, was the results. After only a couple of weeks, my pores were noticeably reduced and my breakout had virtually disappeared (and my skin was smelling fantastic, I might add). Clinically effective, calming, exfoliating, and just downright cute, this serum was just what I needed to up my clean skincare game. Hopefully it makes a convert out of you too.
