A Streaming Guide to Blink Twice

Already no stranger to Hollywood, actress Zoë Kravitz (The Batman, Big Little Lies) has made her long-awaited directorial debut this summer with the horror thriller film Blink Twice—previously titled Pussy Island—in theaters starting August 23.

The movie, co-written by Kravitz and E.T. Feigenbaum, follows cocktail waitress Frida (Naomi Ackie) on the fateful evening in which she and her friend Jess (Alia Shawkat) trade their aprons for party gowns at a gala. The adrenaline skyrockets as Frida finds herself drawing the attention (and desire) of the gala host himself, Slater King (Channing Tatum), a notorious tech billionaire on the road to redemption after a past failure in the public eye. The evening comes to a head when Slater suggests that the two join him and his friends at his private resort for the weekend. Before they know it, Frida and Jess are being whisked away in a private jet to party in paradise with a bunch of rich strangers…quite a trip, in every sense of the word. Things take a dark turn when the swirling indulgence of resplendent meals, expensive wines, and drugs turn violent and tear gaping holes into Frida’s memories. Frida begins to realize discovering the truth of the island could be a matter of life or death.

As a director, Kravitz proves to have a stylish eye for composition, and Ackie nails it as her bewitching lead. Ackie is supported by a star-studded cast that includes Adria Arjona, Haley Joel Osment, Levon Hawke, Simon Rex, Christian Slater, Kyle MacLachlan, and Geena Davis. The film is currently enjoying a run in theaters, but for those eager to watch at home, here’s what we know so far.

As of now, Blink Twice is only available in theaters. Although no streaming date has been confirmed yet, Blink Twice is distributed by Amazon MGM Studios—which means it’s likely to be made available for streaming first on MGM+ and then Amazon Prime Video.

Amazon MGM has yet to announce when Blink Twice will stream, but if previous theater-to-streaming windows are an indicator, Blink Twice could hit MGM+ by late 2024 and Prime Video in early 2025.

Should Blink Twice stream on MGM+ this year, you can sign up for the service through the MGM+ website, or you can purchase it as an add-on through your Amazon Prime, Google, or Apple TV subscriptions, starting at $6.99 per month.
