Bella Hadid Freed the Nipple in a Sheer Saint Laurent Gown at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival

Bella Hadid returned to the Cannes Film Festival to serve up one of the sheerest looks so far. The model stepped out in tan Saint Laurent halter dress with matching heels for The Apprentice premiere this evening in France. In terms of beauty, she leaned into old Hollywood style, wearing her brown hair parted to the side in loose waves.

Hadid is no stranger to wearing bold looks at the French film festival. When she last attended in 2022, she wore a white Gucci gown with a daring hip cutout:

The year before that, Hadid went viral when she wore a Schiaparelli Haute Couture black gown with a statement necklace as a top:

Hadid skipped last year’s Cannes Film Festival and this year’s Met Gala.

At the end of April, she explained to Allure that she actually quietly stepped back from modeling to focus on her mental health: “After 10 years of modeling, I realized I was putting so much energy and love and effort into something that, in the long run, wasn’t necessarily giving it back to me.”

She moved to Texas, where her partner, Adan Banuelos, also lives. Hadid reflected on her life and style down there, saying, “Just as I have styled myself for years now—which I still do—I love being able to do my own hair and makeup, be happy with how I look, and get ready with my girlfriends here in Texas. We have the best time, and I never feel like I need to do too much.”

“For the first time now, I’m not putting on a fake face,” she added. “If I don’t feel good, I won’t go. If I don’t feel good, I take time for myself. And I’ve never had the opportunity to do that or say that before. Now when anybody sees me in pictures and they say, I look happy, I genuinely am. I am feeling better; my bad days now were my old good days.”
