Anya Taylor-Joy’s Third Cannes Outfit Is a Dramatic Sheer Jacquemus Gown

ELLE’s June/July cover star Anya Taylor-Joy arrived in Cannes, France, this week ahead of the premiere of Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga at the Cannes Film Festival tomorrow. Within two days, the actress has debuted three different looks fit for the French Riviera. She was first photographed arriving at Hotel Martinez in a gold, asymmetrical Atlein dress with a leg slit, a dramatic Jacquemus wide brim hat, and Jimmy Choo stiletto sandals.

Her second look that day was a little more casual. Paparazzi photographed her outside her hotel in a Damson Madder long-sleeve top with an oversized Peter Pan collar. She paired it with a jean miniskirt and silver heels.

The actress’s film, Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, opens in theaters on May 24. Taylor-Joy spoke to ELLE in her new cover story about how she felt an immediate, deep connection to her character, Furiosa, when reading the film’s script.

“The most beautiful and heartbreaking thing about Furiosa is that she’s the embodiment of impossible hope—living in a world where everything is a violation to you,” she said. “The air that you breathe, the lack of food, the fact that empathy is punished, that trust is punished. And throughout it all, she just has this relentless conviction that she’s going to make good on that promise she made. I still get chills thinking about it.”
