Taylor Swift Was Filmed Celebrating a Friend’s Birthday at an L.A. Gastropub

Taylor Swift has spent the majority of her tour break out of the spotlight. Last night, however, the singer was spotted out in the wild of Los Angeles, celebrating a friend’s birthday at a gastropub.

TMZ obtained footage of Swift there. Her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, wasn’t with her this time. Her hair was styled down, and she appeared to have a light top on. You can see a glimpse of her in TMZ’s video:

TMZ reported that Swift and one of her friends went to Barney’s Beanery around 7 P.M. to join her other friend’s birthday group. Multiple sources told the outlet that Swift tried to keep a low profile there, and she was able to spend her evening undisturbed. The insiders said that she spent about two hours at the pub before leaving. She had her bodyguard come in after she left, and they paid the group’s tab.

The appearance offers a little glimpse into what Swift is like during her day-to-day life and how even a pop star of her magnitude can (thankfully) have a relaxing night out.

Swift spoke to Time in December about why she is less hesitant to go out publicly now. “Over the years, I’ve learned I don’t have the time or bandwidth to get pressed about things that don’t matter,” she said. “Yes, if I go out to dinner, there’s going to be a whole chaotic situation outside the restaurant. But I still want to go to dinner with my friends. Life is short. Have adventures. Me locking myself away in my house for a lot of years—I’ll never get that time back. I’m more trusting now than I was six years ago.”
