How to Stream Dune 1 Online

On Friday, March 1, the second part of Denis Villeneuve’s adaptation of Frank Herbert’s space epic Dune hits theaters. Fans and people hoping to catch up in time to become fans will want to be sure to see part one before they get to part two, and are looking for the streaming version. Dune 1 is no longer in theaters, so that’s the only version they’ll be getting.

The film stars Timothée Chalamet and Zendaya, with Chalamet in the role of Paul Atreides. Paul is thrown into the center of a massive battle for one of the most important resources in the universe, “spice.” Spice comes from the desert planet Arrakis and it basically makes everybody function better, which is pretty important during intergalactic travel and colonization. Paul’s father, Duke Leto, played by Oscar Isaac, is ordered to Arrakis, but ends up leaving Paul and his mother Jessica, played by Rebecca Ferguson, on their own in the unwelcoming desert. Zendaya plays one of the native Fremen of Arrakis, a girl named Chani. And don’t forget the massive space worms periodically disrupting everything.

The cast is star-studded, also including Jason Mamoa, Josh Brolin, Stellan Skarsgård, Javier Bardem, Sharon Duncan-Brewster, Chang Chen, Dave Bautista, David Dastmalchian, and Golda Rosheuvel. Dune 2 added to the cast with Florence Pugh, Austin Butler, Christopher Walken, Souhelia Yacoub, and Anya Taylor-Joy.
