Taylor Swift Reportedly Didn’t Even Notice That Her Ex-Boyfriend Calvin Harris Was at the 2024 Grammys

Taylor Swift has had viral moments with exes at the Grammys before, namely with Harry Styles last year. At last night’s Grammys ceremony, Swift dodged a run-in with another musician ex-boyfriend, Calvin Harris. She was photographed walking past Harris, who brought his wife, Vick Hope, with him as his date. Neither acknowledged each other at all during the ceremony, which some fans called out as being awkward on X, formerly known as Twitter. Multiple sources later told TMZ that Swift “didn’t even register he was in attendance, so he might as well have not been there at all.”

This photo is the closest Swift got to Harris all night.

Swift was up for six awards: Record of the Year (“Anti-Hero”), Album of the Year (Midnights), Song of the Year (“Anti-Hero”), Best Pop Vocal Album (Midnights), Best Pop Solo Performance (“Anti-Hero”), and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance (“Karma” with Ice Spice). Harris was up for Best Pop Dance Recording with Ellie Goulding for “Miracle.”

Harris and Swift dated for a year, from March 2015 to June 2016. Their breakup got briefly messy in mid-July 2016 when it was revealed Swift had secretly written “This Is What You Came For” with Harris under a pseudonym while they were dating. Swift had been dating Tom Hiddleston very publicly at the time following their meeting at the Met Gala.

Harris had tweeted at the time, “Amazing lyric writer and she smashed it as usual.” He then accused of her leaking it: “Hurtful to me at this point that her and her team would go so far out of their way to try and make ME look bad at this stage though.”

He took a jab at her Hiddleston romance, adding, “I figure if you’re happy in your new relationship you should focus on that instead of trying to tear your ex bf down for something to do. I know you’re off tour and you need someone new to try and bury like Katy ETC but I’m not that guy, sorry. I won’t allow it.”

Harris and Swift later became amicable again. A source close to Harris and Swift told TMZ in September 2016 that they had started texting (only texting though) and resolved their drama. They had become friends…and only friends.

Swift later seemed to shed a little light on their breakup in her Reputation tracks “Getaway Car” and “I Did Something Bad.” Her Midnights song “High Fidelity” was also speculated by fans to be about Harris.
