Robert Pattinson and Suki Waterhouse Are Reportedly Engaged
Longtime couple and expecting parents Robert Pattinson and Suki Waterhouse are reportedly engaged. On Monday, photos shared by TMZ showed Waterhouse with her fiancé in London wearing a ring on that finger, sparking rumors that Pattinson had proposed. A source confirmed with People on Thursday that the ring does mean engagement.
“They are engaged. They both want to be married. It’s important for them,” the source said. They added that the Twilight star “can’t wait to be a dad” and that he is “so ready.”
“His relationship with Suki is incredible,” said the insider. “He feels very lucky.”
As for Waterhouse, she has a “special glow” and “seems very happy.”
The model and actress announced they were expecting while onstage in November at Corona Capital Festival in Mexico. In a video posted on X, formerly known as Twitter, she told the audience, “I’m extra sparkly today because I thought it might distract you from something else that’s going on.”
She took off her pink coat to reveal a baby bump displayed by her minidress, sparking cheers.
“I’m not sure if it’s working,” she told the excited crowd.
At the time, a source told People, “They are ready for a child, and looking forward to becoming parents. Even though they are both professionals who work a great deal, this is something they want. They know their lives will change, and they are excited.”
The couple has been fairly private since the start of their relationship, which was rumored to begin in 2018. They didn’t make their red carpet debut until 2022, attending the Dior Men Fall 2023 show in Giza, Egypt.
Pattinson told The Sunday Times in 2019, “If you let people in, it devalues what love is. If a stranger on the street asked you about your relationship, you’d think it extremely rude. If you put up a wall, it ends better.”
