Taylor Swift Revealed Her Nickname for Travis Kelce With New Friendship Bracelet

Taylor Swift spent her actual birthday away from Travis Kelce, but he is in her heart—and on her wrist. Photos of Swift at Kansas City, Missouri’s Christmas bar with Kelce last Sunday revealed she is now wearing a new friendship bracelet with her nickname for him on it, Trav. Fans theorized that was Swift’s nickname for him earlier this month when they tried to lipread her cheers for him.

Missouri-based jewelry brand Erimish confirmed that Swift got the piece from them on Instagram and shared that fans could order their own.

It’s an especially sweet nod to Kelce because in addition to flaunting his team colors, it also pays homage to how Kelce tried to make a move on her in the first place: by giving her a friendship bracelet with his phone number on it at her Kansas City Eras tour concert.

Swift was first seen wearing a bracelet with his jersey number on October 22 before upgrading to his nickname.

Swift spoke more about how she felt about Kelce’s first public gesture in her interview with Time released last week. “This all started when Travis very adorably put me on blast on his podcast [New Heights, where he told the bracelet story], which I thought was metal as hell. We started hanging out right after that. So we actually had a significant amount of time that no one knew, which I’m grateful for, because we got to get to know each other. By the time I went to that first game, we were a couple. I think some people think that they saw our first date at that game? We would never be psychotic enough to hard launch a first date.”

Additionally, a source explained to Entertainment Tonight why Kelce couldn’t make it to Swift’s New York City 34th birthday celebration. The answer was pretty obvious: He had work, being in the middle of the Kansas City Chiefs’ NFL season.

“[He] remains committed to playing his best and doing his best on and off the field,” the source said. “The team practices are critical, mandatory to attend, and something he takes very seriously. So, it’s no surprise he stayed in Kansas City ahead of this weekend’s game.”
