Selena Gomez Shows Off ‘B’ Ring on Her Left Hand After Going Public With Benny Blanco Romance

Selena Gomez hard-launched her relationship with music producer Benny Blanco yesterday, confirming they were dating on Instagram. She shared a photo with him on her Instagram Story, defended him in comments against those critical of their relationship, and then unveiled the very special piece of jewelry she is now wearing in tribute to him. Gomez showed off a new diamond “B” ring on her left ring finger:

Some fans noted that this isn’t Gomez’s first time wearing an initial ring for a partner. She wore a “J” for her then-boyfriend Justin Bieber when they were dating in 2012.

Entertainment Tonight got the first update from a source about Gomez’s new romance. It became more serious recently, the source said: “Selena and Benny have been casually seeing each other for a while and more recently. Things have been going really well between them, and Selena is happy. She thinks Benny is very funny and of course, extremely talented. Selena is in a great place in her life and feels content and relaxed. She is enjoying where things are going.”

Gomez shared that much on Instagram, writing in a comment that she and Blanco had been dating for six months privately. She praised his treatment of her, in particular, commenting to one fan, “He has treated me better than any human being on this planet.” In a separate comment, she called him the best partner she has had yet, writing, “He’s still better than anyone I’ve ever been with. Facts.”
