Taylor Swift Wore a Glam Black Dress and Faux Fur Coat to Emma Stone’s New Film Premiere

Taylor Swift showed us how to do holiday season evening attire while stepping out to support longtime friend Emma Stone at the premiere of her film, Poor Things, in New York City. The singer was photographed wearing a black maxi dress with a Charlotte Simone faux fur coat and Giuseppe Zanotti black open-toed heels. She carried Naeem Khan’s gold Zodiac Armory Clutch to give the look a rich, astrological twist days before her 34th birthday on December 13.

Swift wore her blonde hair down in loose waves and opted for her signature red lip. The appearance comes after Swift spoke to Time about no longer being afraid to be seen out publicly.

“Over the years, I’ve learned I don’t have the time or bandwidth to get pressed about things that don’t matter,” Swift said. “Yes, if I go out to dinner, there’s going to be a whole chaotic situation outside the restaurant. But I still want to go to dinner with my friends. Life is short. Have adventures. Me locking myself away in my house for a lot of years—I’ll never get that time back. I’m more trusting now than I was six years ago.”

Stone, meanwhile, demurred when asked whether Swift’s vault song “When Emma Falls in Love” was about her, telling Entertainment Tonight on last night’s red carpet, “You would have to ask her.”

Swift did not walk the red carpet. However, she did attend the film premiere itself and the after-party.

Stone spoke about her friendship with Swift during the summer. “The concert was pretty amazing,” Stone said when asked by a reporter about attending the Eras tour. “I was lucky ‘cause we’ve been friends for a really long time. I’ve known her since we were 17 and 18, so she hooked me up, which was very nice ‘cause I know those tickets are impossible to get. She’s a wonderful friend. She blows my mind. I mean, the amount of sheer stamina to do three and a half hours and perform 44 songs and to maintain the extreme energy of the audience—I’ve never seen anything like it.”
